Why Practice Breathwork?

With everything going on in our lives and in the world, it's easy to be in our heads thinking about what has happened and what is yet to come. Having a consistent breathwork practice has been instrumental in helping me see that thinking about these things only takes us out of the potential of the present moment. Science also backs this up. In practicing breathwork, we get out of the part of the brain that creates mental chatter, and when the mind quiets down you get to experience the present moment unencumbered by worries of the past or the future. I find breathwork to be a powerful form of meditation that can bring us to an internal place in minutes, that conventional meditation can take hours.
